NEWS / Water Ambulance

This week saw the handover of a special Parker 650 Water Ambulance to WOPR Skierniewice. WORP translates to Voluntary Water Rescue Organisation. The craft is fitted out with a sophisticated range of radio & navigation equipment including a 4G Simrad radar. The cabin may look small from the outside but there is seating place for a two man crew and two additional persons on bench seats behind. The open cockpit is just long enough to accommodate a stretcher. Special stainless steel fixtures have been made to secure firmly the stretcher to the deck. In case of bad weather conditions like rain a made to measure canopy is fitted over the open cockpit giving the transported person and medical personnel adequate protection. The Parker 650 is powered by a single Mercury Verado 200 HP outboard engine with DTS (Digital Throttle & Shift) controls.
